Temperance Mark Installation 17/02/2026
 
Temperance Mark Lodge No 774 held their first Installation meeting at Garston Masonic Hall on Tuesday 17 February. Representing the RW Provincial Grand Master was the Provincial Grand Senior Warden, WBro Chris Walls. Also in attendance were RWBro Peter Connolly and two of the PGM’s Special Reps; WBro Steve Walls and WBro Steve Lyon.

With everyone in place, the WM, WBro Steve Cornwell opened the lodge. Then all stood in respect to departed merit for In Memoriam to Most Worshipful Bro John Herbert Prizeman, Pro Grand Master, who passed to higher service on 22nd January 2026.
 
With the Minutes and salutations complete, WBro Steve Cornwell morphed into the Installing Master and placed his offices for the ceremony. WBro Derek Gaskell then presented the Master Elect Bro Steve Williams, for the benefit on Installation. WBro Cornwell carried out a first-class Installation ceremony.

WBro Sandy Kean presented the Working Tools. The Keystone was presented by WBro Derek Gaskell before he gave the address to the Worshipful Master. WBro Steve Williams then appointed his offices. The address to the Wardens was given by WBro Chris Walls at very short notice. WBro Steve Walls gave the Overseers address and presented them with the Provincial letter which explains the overseer’s duties. With all the officers appointed, it was again time for WBro Chris Walls to step up and give a first-class address to the Brethren. WBro Chris then performed his main duty of the night and brought the congratulations of the RW Provincial Grand Master to WBro Steve Williams on taking the chair for the first time; he also extended those congratulations to WBro Steve Cornwell for the quality of the ceremony. A cheque for charity was then presented to WBro Chris Walls which was gratefully received.

The next meeting of Temperance Mark Lodge is on Tuesday 21st April and will be a presentation of the Magic of the Mark which will be presented by WBro Mike Pinckard, the APGM. This meeting is open to Master Masons and Non-Mark men. (See website for more details) click here WBro Steve Williams should be fully fired up for this meeting because it follows the Provincial Grand Lodge meeting at Blackpool on 15th April, which Steve will be attending as Master for the first time.

Just a note; all Mark Master Masons can attend this meeting and the letter invitation has been sent to all Mark lodge secretaries.
